Today's Foodie Friday recipe is Courtesy of Chef HK. We've made chorizo twice at Sprouts Dinner Club. This was our first time making it with game meat and it was delicious. We stuffed it into peppers and tomatoes which then we roasted in a 350 degree oven for about 20-30 mins. We enjoyed them with a glass of chilled rosè or Spanish Tempranillo since our theme was Spanish food. It was excellent! ¡Salud! The next Sprouts Dinner Club meets in September. Join us! Homemede Chorizo Ingredients 3 pounds ground elk or other meat 3 T ancho chili powder 1 t cayenne ½ t ground clove 1 t ground black pepper ½ t ground bay leaf 1 T ground coriander 1.5 T ground cumin 1 T paprika 1 T ground oregano 1 t ground cinnamon 4.5 T onion flake ¼ c minced garlic ¾ c apple cider vinegar 2 whole eggs 1 T HK special meat spice - for sale from HK 1 c ground hazelnuts Legend T = Tablespoon t = teaspoon c = cup Directions Mix together and cook until done.
