Leslie Allen, #CEO and Head Coach
Always active as a kid, Leslie tumbled and cartwheeled her way through childhood until she learned to row on the Potomac River in Virginia her freshman year of high school. Rowing kept her, mostly, out of trouble. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1989 where she served as an aircraft firefighting and rescue specialist. Leslie has been in the fitness industry since 1994. She started teaching aerobics and strength & conditioning classes in southern California after she completed 5 years on active duty in the Marines. She continued to teach fitness classes until she transferred to UC Davis. She was a competitive collegiate rower for UC Davis, where at the ripe old age of 25, she was the ‘oldest’ person to ever compete on the UC Davis crew team. Happy to be in the land of collegiate athletics she did her best to keep up with the 18 year olds and learned invaluable lessons in focus and determination. Leslie also assisted with dry-land training for the UC Davis Novice crew team. She started CrossFit in 2010 and acquired her Level 1 Trainer in 2011. She has been coaching CrossFit since 2011. Leslie became a Level 2 Trainer in September 2014, she is also a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach, a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and holds a CrossFit Endurance certificate. Leslie is a US Masters Olympic Weightlifting competitor. She is the 2012 American Masters Champion and former record holder in her age and weight class. She is the 2013 Pan American champion in her division and holds two Pan American records. She is the Montana State Champion and record setter in her division. She finished second in the world in her division in the 2017 CrossFit LiftOff. Leslie coaches CrossFit, Yoga and Foundations classes. She offers nutrition consultation and is happy to collaborate with anyone of a personal plan to health and wellness.
