Soha, Why do you Do CrossFit?
What was your fitness life like before you started training with True Spirit CrossFit?
Before I joined True Spirit I always thought CrossFit is only for already fit, in shape people. Also had bad perception that rossFit is dangerous and can hurt your body.
What brought you to True Spirit CrossFit in the first place?
When I was looking for CrossFit to join I started by checking out True Spirit because it says CrossFit and Yoga so I said "Sweet ! CrossFit and Yoga under one roof" then I ended up going to another box because of more location convenience. But I am so glad I am back to this place. What motivated me to go back and check it out is my coach at the previous place who discovered True Spirit.
What was your first impression? Has that changed?
Great first impression. From Leslie's questions on our first meeting, I felt I will be in good hands and well taken care of :-). Her questions shows how much she cares and made me feel that I will be able to reach my goal and be successful this time. At my first meeting with her I thought there is hope this time to stick to my workout routine. No it didn't change.
What was the first thing fun or positive thing you experienced while training with us?
My first thing fun and positive is when during my very first classes I hit the hanging barbells while working out and they all fell down on the floor and sounded like an explosion, I was so embarrassed and felt so stupid and uncoordinated and wanted to disappear. But people in the class cheered for me and said something funny and cute about how i became so strong to the point I can crush the barbells and I felt comfortable and the awkward moment just passed.
Are you working on any special CrossFit related skill now?
Yes I worked on my dips skills and now working on pull ups
How has you life changed since training with TSCF?
My life changed to the best. I am falling in love with myself again. Noticed a huge boost in my confidence and happiness. For the first time I look forward to workout and actually go to the gym.
What's your favorite True Spirit CrossFit memory?
My favorite memory was after my first class with coach Heidi on a Saturday at the park. After our wonderful partner workout, we the group hang out for a little bit, and we had some mimosa and orange juice and we talked and laughed. I felt the positive energy and how I liked the group although I don't know everybody that well.
