Matt pulls a heavy sled. Today is THAT day. Today we are returning to our focused gymnastics progressions. I know many of you want to get pull-ups. Certainly, the pull-up is an important gymnastics movement. With a pull-up you can get on top of a wall, get over a fence, escape, evade and save yourself if you find yourself in a hole. It's a super handy skill to have. Pull-ups require a good strength to weight ratio. If you don't have any plans to change your body weight, then your focus should be on getting stronger. Lucky for us, we work on our gymnastics pulling strength weekly and we do lots of overhead pressing and pulling. This will certainly make you stronger for your pull-ups. Watch today's Technique Tuesday video to see the drills we'll be working on, and to understand how to coordinate your muscles to get your chin over the bar. Good luck!
