Yesterday I wrote about the roles of training, practice and competition in the development of an athlete. Today we are training for the Festivus Games. Training is important because it allows us to TRY in a non-stressful, non-competitive environment. Let's have some fun today with a movement we are learning to love:-)
Part of training for a multi workout CrossFit competition is your refueling and hydration plan. You will complete all 4 Festivus Games workouts in about 4-5 hours and you'll need to learn how much and what kinds of food you can tolerate in between events.
Many of us rely on a post-workout protein shake. However, on a multi-workout competition like the Festivus Games, you'll want some carbohydrates to replenish your glycogen stores and you'll want more calories than your standard protein shake.
