Laurie, Katie and Coach James do wallballs. Do you think Katie and James have a wallball advantage?
It's Foodie Friday! Usually every Friday I share with you a recipe that you can make over the weekend. Today I'm sharing 3 of my favorite meal delivery companies.
Some weeks I know I'm not going to have the time to meal prep on Sunday and Wednesday. My days are booked up and I'll be lucky if I get 30 minutes in the middle of the day to eat a meal. Sound familiar? When I know I'm going to have a very busy week, I plan ahead by ordering meals to be delivered.
There are three meal delivery services that I recommend, Montana Macros, Whole and Nourished, and Eatology.
Montana Macros is a local business that specializes in Macronutrient (Protein, Carbs and Fat) balanced meals. The meals are simple, yet tasty, they're not fancy, yet you can jazz them up with salsa or hot sauce. The meals are mostly Paleo (one meal contains rice and lentils.) These are your "food is fuel" meals that will help you eat Paleo and stay on track with the Whole Life Challenge, Whole 30 or RP. You can choose from two breakfast scrambles or two lunch/dinner entrees.
In addition to individual meals, you can order bulk items like 1 pound of cooked ground turkey, green beans, or sweet potatoes. The absolute BEST thing about Montana Macros is that they are delivered to OUR GYM in compostable containers that are microwave and oven safe! The meals are made by two local CrossFitters in a commercial kitchen. You order on their website and the meals will be delivered to the gym on Monday. https://montanamacrosmealprep.com/
Whole and Nourished meal delivery is a local, woman owned business that delivers absolutely delicious mostly Paleo meals to your home. These meals are super tasty and come in reusable Mason jars that can be reheated in the microwave. The meal selection is broad, e. g. chicken chili verde, chocolate braised pork shoulder, tuna salad with sriracha mayo and picked veggies. There is a commitment to using local meat and vegetables.
In addition to individual meals, bulk orders of roasted chicken, bone broth, and cauliflower rice are available. The best thing about Whole and Nourished is that the meals are absolutely delicious and Whole Life Challenge or Whole 30 complaint. Those on the RP program will have to do some extra weighing and measuring for compliance. Order the meals online and have them delivered to your home on Monday. www.wholeandnourished.com.
Eatology is a Texas based company that delivers frozen meals to your home or work. The meals are Paleo and Zone balanced. Zone is a macronutrient based nutrition program endorsed by CrossFit.
The menu selection is broad and includes tasty breakfast and lunch/dinner meals such as apple cinnamon bacon breakfast hash, pineapple pizza with sweet fries, chili cheese fries, and pineapple upside down cake. As you can tell, these meals are intended to feel like cheat meals even though they are Paleo and Zone balanced. They can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
You can order a collection of meals one at a time or you can establish a monthly auto-pay subscription which offers a slight savings.
The best thing about Eatology is that you can order two serving sizes depending on your macronutrient or caloric needs which makes it a better choice for those following RP. Since all of the meals are Paleo they are all Whole Life Challenge or Whole 30 compliant. Order online and the meals will be delivered in about a week. www.eatology.co
