Cora, Why do You do CrossFit?
What was your life like before you started training with True Spirit CrossFit?
My perception of CrossFit was muscle and meat heads throwing weights around and grunting.
What brought you to True Spirit CrossFit in the first place?
My friend Alexis and I joined together.
What was your first impression?
Leslie makes a great first impression. She makes it easy to understand and the fundamentals class really helps you understand the concepts. Plus having a coach there insures you are lifting or performing correctly. I love the competitive nature as well.
What was the first thing fun or positive thing you experienced while training with us?
I like how it can be like a circuit fitness class so you don't get bored and no workout is ever the same. I'm sore a lot! I like it because I know I am getting a workout and challenging my muscles.
Are you working on any special CrossFit related skill now?
Being I have had 3 surgeries this year I just try to do it all to the best of my ability with my issues. They have been super helpful in coaching me to my injuries.
How has you life changed since training with TSCF?
I feel like I am getting PT for my limb issues while working out, strengthening the muscles around my bad knee for example. I feel stronger and challenged. I love the group setting as well, it's very motivating, because I want to show up for my gym mates.
What's your favorite True Spirit CrossFit memory?
The hike for Chad with all us ladies on a Saturday morning, that was fun!
