What's for dinner? That has to be one of most common questions of the human race. Moms, dads, husbands, wives, roommates, nearly everyone at some point in the day gets asked or asks the question, "What's for dinner?" For some folks this question strikes panic! Shoot! Nothing is planned, let's go out. For some, it's an opportunity. Cool! What do I get to create today? For some, it's a forgone conclusion, I'm eating what I prepared earlier this week. Lucky you!
Eating dinner can be a chore or a delight. My wish for everyone is that dinner is a delight. A time for you to connect with friends and family. A special time when the pace of life slows down and you get to focus on just one thing - fueling your body.
Food is fuel and food is joy. Food is also comfort, reward, evocative and steeped in the rich culture of family and tradition. Food is also scarce for many people in the world and in our small corner of southwest Montana. That is why we our holding our 5th annual fall food drive to support the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. Today through the end of November we are collecting non-perishable food and frozen turkeys. The first few days, Nov 3-17, our food drive is in support of the Can the Griz. Last year our gym donated 50 pounds of food to help us all Can the Griz! Let's do it again this year. Click on the image below to learn more about the Can the Griz food drive.
