Coach Jason Khalipa joins us again for technique Tuesday. Today's workout combines the two barbell movements that give folks the most grief. Doing these two movements requires shoulder and upper thoracic flexibility, core stability, and the ability to drive with your hips. Watch Coach Khalipa as he shows you how to efficiently and correctly perform a thruster. The weight is relatively light today, this will allow you to really get into a good position.
Do you need some inspiration? Watch Olympian Dimitry Klokov do a 418 pound thruster. He holds the world record thruster of 422.4 pounds.
Thruster + Overhead squat 95/65#
Perform one thruster and one overhead squat on the first minute, do two thrusters and two overhead squats on the second minute, and so on.
