Coaches Leslie and James grind through some easy front squats way back before True Spirit CrossFit opened. Today is Coach Leslie's 46th birthday.
Today's workout will test you mentally as well as physically. It's very, very important to maintain a braced core, active shoulders and keep your knees tracking in line with your feet during these front squats. If you have trouble keeping your shoulders active, try a few zombie squats with an empty barbell. If the barbell falls off your shoulders as you rise out of the squat, that is an instant cue to you that you're not active and braced.
It's close to Halloween and I thought it would be fun to see a pirate do the WOD. Watch the video to see how it's done:-)
