We do things a little differently at True Spirit CrossFit & Yoga. We don't subscribe to the "go big or go home" mentality. We meet you where you are today. Some days just getting to the gym is the victory, and we'll celebrate that. Some days you're going to crush the workout, some days the workout crushes you. We get it. We've been there, too. We ask that you show up consistently and give it your best effort. We don't judge. We don't punish. We support. We encourage. We challenge. We welcome you to join us. ​

CrossFit Endurance is a specialized endurance training program that integrates CrossFit with running, cycling, rowing or swimming training. It is not just a longer bodyweight workout or a 30-40 minute grinder. We are CrossFit Endurance trainers and we will help you develop a personalized endurance plan specific to your training needs. We incorporate tempo, sprint, intervals and other CrossFit Endurance training methods.

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children.
CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good movement mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. ​

OK - Some of you need more robust definition of CrossFit. Here you go:
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program with fitness defined as an increased work capacity. The goal of CrossFit is to improve the general physical preparedness of its participants by training and improving 10 key physical qualities: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. To this aim, CrossFit utilizes constantly varied functional movements, i.e. movements that recruit multiple muscle groups and joints, combined in any number of computations to be performed rapidly over a pre-determined time-frame.

Common Myths about CrossFit 

I need to get in shape before I start crossfit
Nope! CrossFit is a general physical preparedness program, that means it's designed to get you into shape. We scale and modify all of our workouts to meet you at your current fitness level. When you become more fit, you will naturally start to try more difficult variations of the workout. 
I hear CrossFit is dangerous
Nope! CrossFit is not dangerous. Bad coaching is dangerous. Poor movement is dangerous. Ego is dangerous.
We follow the CrossFit progression of mechanics, consistency then intensity. We'll assess your movement and help you identify how to modify movements. We specialize in scaling or modifying the workout so it's appropriate for your current level of fitness and range of motion. 
 CrossFit, properly scaled to the individual is the safest and most efficient program available.
