There are lots of changes happening at our gym! We are so excited for the expansion and ready to begin offering more specialty courses, seminars and perhaps some new class times. Be on the lookout for a survey in the next few weeks. We want your input! Our coaching staff is also changing. We are very sad to say goodbye to Coach Kristine. Kristine has lead the Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm classes since the first week we opened. She has been an important member of our community and we hate to see her go. We are throwing a PR & PBR party for Coach Kristine on Thursday Oct 1 at 6:30pm. Come to her last class and have a good time. You are invited to attempt a PR any lift or workout. Show Kristine how strong and fit you are! We are excited to welcome our newest coach, Becky Anderson, to our coaching team. Becky has been a member since September 2014. She earned her CrossFit Level 1 training certificate in August and is now ready to lead classes. She will be leading the Tuesday 5:30pm & 6:30pm classes. Coach Jon will be leading the Thursday 5:30pm & 6:30pm classes. It was only two weeks ago that we started our expansion. What do you think? Do you like all the new space? Be on the lookout for another rig and more equipment in the next few days. Before we asked you to tear down our wall, we asked you to write something upon it that you wanted to demolish. Many of you wrote amazing and thoughtful things that you gleefully demolished with the sledgehammer. While that was a powerful symbolic gesture; how are you able to carry that practice into reality? What steps can you take, today, right now, to tear down the walls you've created for yourself? In yoga, we practice at letting go of that which no longer serves us. When you get stuck in a negative loop, ask yourself how the action, emotion, thought serves you. If it doesn't serve you, it's time to let it go. Letting go of old patterns, behaviors, thoughts, etc. is not easy, it takes daily work. Sometimes it's an hourly or minute by minute practice. Letting go of that which no longer serves you is the way to open your heart and mind to new opportunities. Good luck!
