Are you ready? Row!
Did you get an Instant Pot for Christmas? If you didn't you can get one on an after Christmas sale! Instant Pot's are amazing time saving devices that remind me of R2-D2:-) I use mine every week. I make at least two soups, a big mess of meat, and cook sweet potatoes over the weekend so I have plenty of food for the week. A weekend cook-up is essential to keep my nutrition goals on track. I do a big one on Sunday and a smaller one on Wednesday. I keep easy salad makings on hand all week so I can put together a healthy meal of soup and salad after I get home from the gym. Easy peasy! Enjoy today's Foodie Friday recipe courtesy of one of my favorite food bloggers, Nom Nom Paleo. As always, click on the image for the recipe. Today is Boxing Day. We have only ONE class today at 10:30AM.
Boxing Day is a traditional British holiday and has its origins in the 17th century. The exact origin of the holiday is not clear, however it is traditionally a day when service workers are given presents from those they serve. The contemporary circle of service workers has expanded to include postal workers, paper deliverers, CrossFit coaches, etc. We will celebrate Boxing Day much more literally with actual boxes. Be sure to join us today for some good British fun! We have our regular class schedule Thursday - Saturday and again have a reduced schedule next week. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! You have a few more opportunities to make the December Committed Club. |
