Annie deadlifts 235# during the CrossFit Total in May, This is the last time we maxed out our deadlift. Wooohoo! Today we get to pick up heavy stuff! We love a heavy lift for the positive affect is has on our metabolism, hormones, body composition and energy. We also love the no-nonsense approach of Coach Mark Rippetoe. Coach Rip is one of the best strength coaches in the U.S. and has helped many people lift with exceptional technique and get very strong. He has many notable quotes and one of my favorites from today's Technique Tuesday video is, "If you drop the bar in the deadlift you're only doing half the lift."
