Coach Mark Rippetoe, AKA Coach Rip, knows a lot about squat. He wrote the book on strength training, it's called Starting Strength. All of our coaches have read it and continue to use it as a resource when teaching the press, deadlift and squat.
Today we are squatting and potentially getting heavy. The squat is dependent upon a strong and consistent hip drive. You have to use those hips to get up and out of the hole (the bottom of your squat). Watch today's Technique Tuesday video for the straight scoop from Coach Rip. He doesn't tolerate silly bullshit, and neither should you. My favorite Coach Rip quote is, "It is incumbent on you, yes You, to educate yourself to a sufficient extent that you are in a position to evaluate information issued from a position of authority. You are supposed to be able to recognize silly bullshit when you hear it."

Doing squats is the most tiresome exercise for me. I dislike doing squats whenever I go to the gym. My back really hurts whenever I attempt this workout. I believe that I can finally fix my form if I follow your guide. Thank you for this and I hope that it's as easy as how you show it.
