It's Mobility Monday! Today we are practicing the clean and jerk. Many folks have trouble with their shoulders in the jerk, and today's Mobility Monday video from The Movement Fix gives two mobility exercises that can help warm up the shoulders to prepare them for the jerk.
The clean and jerk develops explosiveness, speed and power. You don't have to get very heavy to receive the benefits. We will spend about 20 minutes working on our clean and jerk technique before we do Grace. Remember to approach this with a beginner's mind. This is a complex movement and it takes many, many repetitions to gain competency. Good luck!
