WOW! What a week! In the midst of civil, social, and CrossFit unrest and rage we had a freeze, some people got snow, and the rest of us just got tired.
THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY! I don't know about you, but I'm ready to take a step back from social media and just spend some easy time with James and Nanook. One way we like to unwind and take a step back is by cooking homemade pizza on our kamado grill. I'll start the dough from scratch in the morning and let it proof all day. This makes it springy and delicious! If I'm lucky I'll find some morels this weekend or find a friend that finds morels:) I have green garlic in my garden and I just bought some fantastic sausage from Gallatin Valley Botanical. Did you know they are just ONE MILE from our gym and they have a farmstand Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: 9am-2pm? You can also buy online from several local farms. Here's a list. Open a local beer or uncork a nice Rhône style wine and enjoy a slice of this incredible homemade morel mushroom pizza with green garlic and sausage from Dishing up the Dirt.
