Coach Nick, Capt. Papsadora, went to Officer Candidate School during his sophomore and junior years of college. He was commissioned in May 2017 and served four years. He moved to Bozeman while he was on terminal leave and started coaching with us while he was still on active duty.
After he successfully completed Infantry Officer Course he was stationed at Camp Lejeune where he was the platoon commander of 3rd platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines. He was deployed with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS New York (LPD21) in support of security and contingency operations in the Persian Gulf. The USS New York was partially constructed with steel salvaged from the World Trade Center after it was destroyed in the September 11 attacks.
